When I started reading Natasha Knight, I fell in love with her Mafia romances (be sure to check those out), but when she introduced me to The Dark Legacy Duet, I knew my dark soul would be forever hooked on this author.
We first met Gregory back in Taken and Torn and I knew that this character would need his own story. He was such a dark and mysterious character that when he appeared in the first two books I was instantly attracted and intrigued to this complex character. With just the glimpse that I saw in Taken and Torn and knowing how dark Natasha Knight’s soul is, I knew we would be in for a wild ride in Twisted. There was this psychopath element to Gregory’s character that I found strangely fascinating but as you get deeper into this story you see a vulnerability to him that highlights his want for a family and finally feeling whole in himself.
Having been promised his own Willow girl his entire life, he knew what his life would entail but the actions of his brother Sebastian and Helena throws this character’s life into a tail spin. What takes place in on the island in the previous books really did a number on Gregory, wanting to find his own Willow Girl, he leaves and sets his sights on Amelia.
Like Gregory, Amelia was briefly introduced to us in the previous books. Amelia is emotionally damaged from watching her sister being taken away and not know what is happening to her. Struggling with her own identity and unable to find her place in the world, Amelia is as such damaged as Gregory is. She was a character that showed her vulnerability from the first page and really grew as she became more comfortable in her own skin. You could feel her internal struggles and her constantly battle to accept the darkness that surrounds her and Gregory.
Twisted is perfectly titled for this couple’s relationship, it is purely twisted. These characters never had a chance for normal relationships with anyone, they were both too twisted for a normal and I’m totally fine with that. While they twisted, they were each other’s better half. The darkness that surrounded this couple offered us some dark, deviant and downright delicious steamy scenes. I loved how Natasha Knight was able to showcase how broken these characters were separately but once these broken characters came to together, they were able to find their own ‘normal’.
Twisted was the perfect book to bring closure to Gregory, I feel in love with him even more by the end of this book. Amelia was the perfect woman to soften Gregory and he was the perfect person to harden Amelia. Ultimately, they offered the perfect balance of light and darkness to an already complex family. I thoroughly enjoyed their relationship and the twists that this couple experienced.
USA Today bestselling author of contemporary romance, Natasha Knight specializes in dark, tortured heroes. Happily-Ever-Afters are almost always guaranteed, but she likes to put her characters through hell to get them there. She’s evil like that.
