Oh Holy Shit I need the next book like I need water
I went into this book reading the blurb and a couple reviews just basically saying how addicting and obsessive this book was for them. I will say this, I can not agree more.
Penn loses his wife in the absolute worst way possible. Watching her being brutally murdered with no way to stop it, hell I have no idea how he moved on. To say I love this man, it doesn’t begin to cover how I feel for this character.
Cora, this strong tortured soul, is living her life always protecting and constantly on guard not just with herself but for 30+ other women. She’s determined to make sure everyone is happy and safe and always out of harms way, even if this means taking all the abuse herself. This heroine, she completely rocked my soul. My heart broke not just for her but for Penn, for River, for Savannah, heck even Drew.
this amazing author, she sure knows how to write and create such astounding and breathtaking characters. I am still breathless and literally begging for the next installment in this duet because holy shit I can not wait to get more to this stunning journey. I read this book last week (I know, behind?)and I am still needing the next book so badly. It’s hard to say anymore about this story without giving anything away. The blurb alone says enough. Hands down recommend this one
“Breathe. One in. One out. As a reminder that, no matter how hard things get, everything will be fine as long as you just keep breathing.”
About the Author:
Originally from Savannah, Georgia, USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez now lives in South Carolina with her four young children.
Never one to take herself too seriously, she enjoys cheap wine, mystery leggings, and baked feta. It should be known, however, that she hates pizza and ice cream, almost as much as writing her bio in the third person.
She passes what little free time she has reading anything and everything she can get her hands on, preferably with a super-sized tumbler of wine by her side.
