The Kiss Thief by L.J. Shen

The Kiss Thief Book Cover The Kiss Thief
L.J. Shen
Fiction, Contemporary Romance
January 9th 2019

They say your first kiss should be earned.

Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky.

They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred.

Mine were broken before we left church.

They say your heart only beats for one man.

Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end.

I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit.

Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage.

They say that all great love stories have a happy ending.

I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter.

One kiss.
Two men.
Three lives.
Entwined together.

And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.

Megan’s Review

“One kiss.
Two men.
Three lives.
Entwined together.
And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.”

Well my first book of the year has been read, devoured and positively cherished. I know without a shadow of a doubt that The Kiss Thief will end up on my favorite list at the end of 2019. I have read a lot of L. J. Shen’s books in the past and I have always loved her unique and beautiful way of telling a story and her ability to capture my attention from the get go. I have to say, this story is my fav by hers to date, and I didn’t think it would be possible to love one more than Vicious. I urge each and every one of you to drop what you are doing and pick up this piece of fictional art because The Kiss Thief deserves to be read by the world.

Let me tell you, if you love your antiheroes who have the ability for redemption, then I cannot stress enough how much you need this book in your life, and let’s face it, only Leigh herself can make them come to life. An arranged marriage trope is not my jam, but this book absolutely rocked my world.

“Our hearts were tarnished. Stained. And guilty. Unpredictable to a fault. And bound to break.”

I’m not going to go into the ins and outs of the story for fear of spoilers, but the chemistry was electrifying; the anticipation, the excitement and the high expectation I have when I read Shen were all there and brought me to my happy place of discovering a world I had yet to encounter. It was a fictional world where I could just live there forever. I just have to warn you though… these characters will positively blow your mind.

“He was hell wrapped in a heavenly rugged mask. He was fire. Gorgeous to eye, lethal to the touch.”

Oh what I would do to crawl into the mind of Leigh and know what creating a true masterpiece such as this was like; mind-blowing I’m sure. The Kiss Thief is unlike anything out there in the market and I urge every one of you to read it. As a reader I am always on the hunt for a story that is so phenomenal and unique, a story that has the ability to take me out of my comfort zone, constantly seeking answers to my many questions and have me utterly consumed. Shen is a literary genius who constantly raises the bar and I for one, cannot wait to see what she creates for us next.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about, then I suggest you one click and see for yourself. This is the book everyone is talking about and I am happy to say it lived up to its hype.

About the Author:

L.J. Shen is an International #1 best-selling author of Contemporary Romance and New Adultnovels. She lives in Northern California with her husband, young son and chubby cat.

Before she’d settled down, L.J. (who thinks referring to herself in the third person is really silly, by the way) traveled the world, and collected friends from all across the globe. Friends who’d be happy to report that she is a rubbish companion, always forgets peoples’ birthdays and never sends Christmas cards.

She enjoys the simple things in life, like spending time with her family and friends, reading, HBO, Netflix and internet-stalking Stephen James. She reads between three to five books a week and firmly believes Crocs shoes and mullets should be outlawed.
