Stroked Long (Stroked #2) by Meghan Quinn (Nancy)

Nancy’s review

“He’s so handsome.
He’s so broken.
He’s so tempting.”

I loved the hell out of this book. It made me smile, swoon, and laugh so hard that tears were running down my face. I didn’t read the first book in the series but I’ll definitely check it out after reading this one. I gladly welcome Meghan Quinn to my list of favorite authors.

I instantly loved Bodi. He’s broken and jaded because of what happened in the past when he was only a child. It’s always the broken heroes that are usually my favorite; their stories always pull at my heartstrings.

Bodi doesn’t do well with people and mostly keeps to himself. At first he isn’t completely comfortable with Ruby because she is something new in his life, but as the story progresses he soon begins to relax around her enough to even step out of his comfort zone sometimes. He can’t help but be intrigued by the unique and quirky woman with the bright colorful clothes.

“I want to kiss her.
Fucking badly.
I want to know what it feels like to be intimately entwined with someone so pure and true as her. I want to feel her warmth against my frigidness, get lost in the soft, silky feel of her skin and hold her as if she’s mine for the keeping.”

There never was a dull moment when Bodi and Ruby were together. They’re quite opposites and yet also a great match for one another. Ruby brings color and happiness into Bodi’s life. I agree with Ruby when she says Bodi is “a tough cookie to crack.” Slowly but surely she breaks down his walls and weaves herself into his heart.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t love about Stroked Long. It was both incredibly funny and heartwarming. 2016 favorite for sure! Highly recommend this to everyone.
