Ruby Campbell isn't daunted at the prospect of working as a Nanny for the notorious Barclay Rothchester. She’s warned he’s a strict control freak, but she’s sure she can soften him up.

Barclay Rothchester lost his wife three years ago. Of course he’s never going to find someone to replace her role, the one she did so perfectly. He’s sure its not going to be hippy dippy Ruby with her sass and rebellious ways.

Ruby is determined to give his daughters the Christmas they deserve. Now if only she can tolerate their father long enough to make that happen.

Are they both willing to put their stubborn pride aside, or will they risk losing the one gift that can't be wrapped: each other.

Tracey’s Review

Who doesn’t love a good Christmas story?? There is something magical about this time of year and adding a touch of romance can only guarantee a Happy Ever After!!

Once Upon a Wish-mas was a great read to kick of this festive season, it is filled with laughter, angst, broodiness and of course romance.

The characters Barclay and Ruby are some of those characters that you want to see get their HEA. Having lost his wife, Barclay is full of anger and not prepared to offer love, even for his daughters, but when Ruby enters the picture, she changes everything. I fell instantly in love with Barclay and I could feel his pain, especially when his wife was mentioned or when he was trying to protect his heart from any further ache.

Hired as the Nanny, Ruby instantly connects with the girls but from the get go she is at loggerheads with their father. Ruby was such a sassy character that you can’t help liking, she has a heart of gold which can be seen throughout the story.

As the story develops, you can see the love start to return into the Rothchester household and you see all characters soak it in. For me this was lovely to see and throwing in the time of year, you definitely get the magical feeling that we can find at Christmas and when love happens.

This was a great book and has got me in the mood for more Christmas Stories, be sure to add this festive story to you TBR list, you won’t be disappointed.
