Yes, although part of a series

Piper Mackenzie first sees him shirtless, standing in front of the military plane she was about to board, with one rather large wrench in his hand. The fact that he has the plane—the one that she’s about to be flying on for hours—in pieces only minutes before she’s set to take off on it doesn’t faze her. At least not until a flippant joke about dying in mid-air leaves his lips.

The second time she sees him, he’s helping her from the wreckage of her car. The wreckage that he helped cause.

The third, he’s laying across from her in the same bed, and there’s no denying what happened the night before.

The fourth, well that time would be the first of many. Being Mrs. Jonah Crew has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Jonah Crew saw her for the first time as she stared at him in awe. It was snowing, the temp was in the negative degrees, and he couldn’t think about anything but her and the look of horror on her face when he tells a badly-timed joke.

The second time he sees her, his heart skips a beat, but not for the reason that one might think. Mainly, it’s due in part to the fact that his truck smashed into her car so hard that his chest hits the steering wheel and his heart decides to stop working right.

The third time, he’s fairly positive that he’s died and gone to heaven. At least, that’s what waking up next to a beautiful woman like her signifies, right?

The fourth? Well, he’s not quite sure how he got there, but he’s already said ‘I do’ so what’s a guy to do?

Tracey’s Review

Yet again Lani Lynn Vale has written a fantastic book in her new series KDP Motorcycle Patrol. It Wasn’t Me is Piper and Jonah’s story and if you like/love insta love stories, then this addition from LLV is right up your street.

For me this book was one of LLV’s best stories, I just fell in love with the characters from the first page. Once I started I devoured this book in one sitting. The chemistry and interaction between Piper and Jonah was so addictive. Their chemistry was instant, magnetic and absolutely adorable. This story certainly gave us some awesome laugh out loud moments and plenty of adorable moments.

I adored Jonah’s character so much in this novel. He has the alpha cockiness attitude, but for some reason I found this oh so much more attractive than I normally do. Maybe its because he knows he’s an ahole, one who speaks his mind but owns up to his actions. His best quality, he loves hard and he loved Piper from the first moment he saw her.

For me Piper was Jonah’s perfect counter-part. She is a vivacious character who adores her family. Liked by many, she certainly doesn’t ruffle any feathers. While not liking where her life is taking her, so when she meets Jonah, she knows he’s her forever.

After one crazy night, this couple find themselves unexpectedly tied to each other, but they are willing to commitment to each other and take a chance on love.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as I usually do. Lani Lynn Vale knows how to write relatable characters and storylines. I am always sucked into her world and quickly become invested in the characters live and cheering them on to their HEA.
