Sooooooooo…to say I have been anticipating this book for a long time would be an understatement.
As such, my expectations for this thing were pretty dang high.
I was worried it would fall massively short.
But how dare I not trust Ms. Zaires.
This was a solid conclusion to Peter and Sara’s story as a whole.
The writing was, as always, on point.
The plot was well planned out.
And, of course, the chemistry between Peter and Sara was off the charts.
We also got some scrumptious cameos and scenes with characters from previous books, i.e., the Twist Me and Capture Me series (which made me die a little inside with complete and abject joy), and the most delicious epilogue ever.
So why not 5 stars?
Hmmmmm…hard to state here without some spoilers for certain scenes. Let’s just say I thought there were some hugely missed opportunities (one in particular) for some of the end scenes of the book. Nothing catastrophic or game-changing by any means, but definitely something I saw as…a letdown.
Perhaps once the book is actually out, I will edit this review to put what I mean in spoiler tags.
Also, at the end of the day…Nora and Julian will always be my ride or die in this world (with Lucas and Yulia right there with them) and Peter and Sara – while still amazing in their own way – just aren’t them.
Regardless, I enjoyed the hell out of this series.
And I’m really hoping Zaires continues story telling in the world…perhaps with Yan or his twin…yum.
