“He was him, I was me, and we were us. This was our story.”
Eleanor and Grey was such a phenomenal story that grabbed my attention from the very first word and kept me fully immersed until the last word was read. Brittainy C. Cherry has always been and will continue to be a one click author for me. Her beautiful and powerful words are always so poignant, heartbreaking and thoughtfully created, and as a result I feel absolutely every emotion possible. I am a huge Brittainy fan and once again she has slayed me with her thought provoking and poetic prose that I just can’t get enough of.
Eleanor is a sweet, kind and pure of hearts girl, who loves to escape the realities of life by delving into the world of Harry Potter. She is a shy and introverted girl, who has had to endure the worst kind of anguish and the pain she is dealing with is unimaginable, but she finds solace in the unlikely friendship with the popular boy at school.
Grey was the senior that everyone wanted a piece of; the adored popular boy. He enters Eleanor’s life when she needed him the most and they soon become the best of friends. He saved her from the immense pain and sadness she was enduring to became everything she never knew she needed.
They were meant to be in every sense of the word, they had the kind of love and mutual understanding that people only dream of and search their whole lives for yet never find. Everything was torn apart when they were forced to go their separate ways when Ellie’s family decide to move to Florida. While they did initially remain in contact, that all ceased when Ellie goes through the worst kind of loss and grief imaginable.
“Through thick and thin. If we fall, we fall together. If we break, we shatter as one. That’s who we are. That’s our promise.”
Fate and destiny work in mysterious ways when Eleanor and Grey come face to face once again after many years apart. It’s not the reunion you would expect from two people whose love runs so deep, so much has happened during those years apart. Will true love triumph or are their hearts too broken to ever be repaired?
Eleanor and Grey is a heartbreaking and emotional story of friendship, epic first love, sorrow, grief and the ultimate gift of a second chance. I felt every beautiful and poetic word that flew off the pages and this is one I will not forget in a hurry. I could not recommend this story enough and these words deserve to be shared with the world.

I have no doubt this journey will effect you, in many ways, but at the end, who can deny love
Hands down recommend this book for all you second chance trope lovers. Be prepared to smile, to cry-and I mean ugly cry, and be ready to love. This author has that beautiful magic to sweep you away ♥️

About the Author
Kandi Steiner is a Creative Writing and Advertising/Public Relations graduate from the University of Central Florida living in Tampa with her husband. Kandi works full time as a social media specialist, but also works part time as a Zumba fitness instructor and blackjack dealer.
Kandi started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic (like most girls brought up on Disney movies).
When Kandi isn’t working or writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys beach days, movie marathons, live music, craft beer and sweet wine – not necessarily in that order.
