Change of Heart (Fostering Love #2) by Nicole Jacquelyn (Val)

Val’s Review

4.5 Stars

I haven’t been in much of a reviewing mood lately for some reason. And I hope to eventually get around to a full review for this…maybe…but in the meantime, I’ll say that I really enjoyed this. NJ is one of my favorite authors and she just seems to get better with every book.

Now, while not as angsty as the first one – which I rated 5 stars – this one was still pretty angsty. That said, I must say that I think my reading tastes must be in….”transition” mode or something as I am finding myself more and more drawn to the angst recently. It used to be that I would rather run naked through a field of babed wire before I cracked open anything that smelled even remotely gut wrenching, but apparently I have been bitten by the self-harm bug lately as I eating this shit up like a fat kid at a Golden Corral buffet.

Anyway, this read was awesome and I really loved catching up with the crew from the first book. I did also appreciate that we didn’t have to deal with the ghost of other women in this one, so phew!
