I’m embarrassed to say this is only my second M/M book that I’ve read this year. For Aly’s first time on writing a M/M romance, I think she did an awesome job.
We all meet Henry Alexander from Aly’s first book, The Fall Up. He is open about his sexuality and isn’t ashamed that he is gay. Everyone sees Henry as the happy and famous celebrity, but in reality he is lonely and broken.
The one thing I really wanted could never be bought.
I wasn’t even sure it could be earned.
It was something so rare that I feared it didn’t actually exist.
Love. Unconditional. Unwavering. Eternal. Love.
Although Henry is completely gay, he likes to seduce straight men, even though he knows that the outcome is never pretty. That still doesn’t stop him when he tries to sleep with his new pilot, Evan Roth.
Fuck, this guy was built like a brick wall. And I was going to love every second of watching him crumble for me.
Evan has his own baggage. After a bad relationship left him heartbroken, he refused to date men again. Until Henry.
It was then that I knew exactly why millions of men and women were so hypnotized by Henry Alexander.
I just couldn’t figure out why suddenly I was too.
I smiled and laughed while reading this book. Yes, this book is funny, but there was also heart to heart moments as well.
Both Evan and Henry are swoon-worthy characters with funny as hell banter, and amazing chemistry. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend the first book The Fall Up, where you first meet and know a little about Henry, and because Sam and Levee’s story is not one you want to miss. I highly recommend both books!
