The third book in the series More Heat Than the Sun

Ben discovers the truth of the old adage 'be careful what you wish for'. Nikolas has exorcised his demons, but when they end up stranded in Russia, the monster inside needs to be let loose. Siberia in winter isn't a place for good men. There is nothing Nikolas won't do to keep Ben alive. Home again, Nikolas then faces an enemy he can't defeat: Ben Rider himself. Discovering a new family, Ben realises he's been living too long in the shadows cast by Nikolas's all-consuming love. For the first time, life apart from Nikolas is possible. Is Nikolas strong enough to let Ben go?

4.5 “I’d Kill Them All” Stars

Holy Christ, I love these two.

Seriously, whenever I finish one of the books in this series I feel like this:

^*Post-sex cigarette? Count. Me. In.

Nik and Ben are some of my favorite characters ever and definitely in the top of my all time favorite couple list.

In fact, I’m not really one to do any “casting” for any of my reviews, but these two hunks of burning love inspire me to do so for once.

Now I know that the author supposedly sees Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen as Nik, which I totally get and respect…but he’s just not doing my ole spank bank any favors.

Sorry…ish.

So without further ado, I bring you my Nik…drum roll please

Look at them do the disembark-the-plane sexy walk…

…And the up-to-something-super-serious saunter.

Even Mads Mikkelsen is fucking impressed.

But I digress.

Onto the actual “review” (I use that term loosely).

Like all of the books so far in this series, the plot was very fast paced, with lots of action, violence, gore, and sex.

And you know what you get with that equation?

My favorite part of this series is watching Ben and Nik’s love grow and their relationship cement.

Nik summed it up with this statement:

“I’d kill them all one by one and feed them to you to keep you alive.”

You had me at “kill them all,” Nik, you had me at kill them all…
