What do you get when you mix a bottle of tequila, a single mom moonlighting as a stripper, and her sinfully sexy boss with an impulsive side?
Married. You get married.

Rich. Demanding. Hot. Crazy.
That was Beckett Cruz in a nutshell.
Not to mention wild, determined, dangerous, and forbidden.
He was my boss—and, after a drunken moment of insanity, my new husband.
An annulment was impossible... so was keeping him.
I was taking my daughter and leaving, determined to give her a quieter life.
But Beckett Cruz had never taken no for an answer.
And he wasn't about to take mine.

What happens in Vegas... might just keep you there.

Nancy’s review

After reading Stripped Bare I couldn’t wait for Beck’s story. And when I read the blurb, yeah, I was basically salivating for it.

“This wasn’t your average love story.
This wasn’t man meets woman, they fall in love slowly, they live happily ever after.
This was man gives woman tequila, they get married, they fuck, and then they are fucked.”

This can be read as a standalone but if you read the first book then you know all about the sex on legs, Beckett Cruz.

Nothing good ever came out of drinking tequila. Cassie should know, one minute she’s having a conversation with her boss while tossing back some tequila shots, and the next, she’s married to him.

“He was forbidden.
I couldn’t have him.
I was damned if I didn’t want him.
Then again, I was damned if I did.
And I did.
I was fucked, no matter how you looked at it.
I wanted my boss.
My accidental husband.
Shit.”

I loved, loved Beck! He was more than the person he made himself out to be. He had all these layers you’d need to peel back to see past the sexy exterior. Yes, the man was a bit bossy and dominant but he also had a great sense of humor and sweet side that I loved seeing.

“Don’t blame me if you make me lose my mind.”
I stopped. “I make you lose your mind?”
He turned to me, his indigo eyes finding mine. “Cassie, I lost my mind the moment I married you. I don’t think I’ve found it since, and if I have, I doubt it’s full of anything but you.”

He was selfless and kind, instantly accepting Cassie’s daughter, making her realize that maybe the mistake she thinks she made wasn’t such a big mistake at all.

“I didn’t understand him. I didn’t understand me. I didn’t understand anything but this fucked-up situation, but I understood that I wanted him, and that his words made me want him a little more.”

What I have come to love about Emma is that she knows how to write compelling characters that you instantly fall in love with, witty banter that will make you laugh out loud…

“You…helped another man buy tampons?
That thought was terrifying. “What did you say to him?”
“I told him to look at the sizes and get the one closest to his dick.”
I had no idea how to respond to that.
“Then I felt doubly sorry for him because he definitely didn’t get the biggest ones there. Not even close.”
“You’re just an overgrown teenage boy, aren’t you?”
“Yeah, but I’m rich, handsome, and charismatic, so I get away with it.”

And delicious tension you could cut with a knife, added with hot sizzling sexy times.

This had a great balance of humor and romance. If you love alpha males, sassy heroines, and cute little kids, then this might be right up your alley.
