For me, most of the time and maybe for others, when I read a book the most important think beside the blurb is the writing. This is my first book by this author so I didn’t know what to expect about anything. Well, the writing capture my attention from the very beginning. It’s fantastic, flawless and emotional at times, it’s like you are there with all the characters and feel all their emotions.
In the end I’m glad I didn’t read any reviews before reading this. You must read this without reading any reviews who have too many details about the plot, because you will want to experience this story by yourself.
I love when a story is different, when it has something new and this story was unique in almost every way, from the plot to the characters. All I’m gonna say about the plot is that it’s very unique and extremely intriguing.
Six of Hearts is a story about two people who experienced a great loss and grief, a story about love and revenge, a story about finding your very own epic love. The characters are very well developed through the entire story. They are real and relatable. I liked Matilda, the heroine in this story. She is smart and loyal, sweet and caring, adventurous and romantic. I didn’t always like her decisions, but in end I understand her reasoning.
He has this magnetic energy that makes me feel anxious and excited all at once.
The male character, Jay Fields is one of the reason I loved this book. He is loving and charming, mysterious at times and very intriguing. Maybe it sounds strange, but I understand his reason for revenge. Matilda and Jay are great together, they are really sweet and their connection is palpable. I adored their sexual tension, their romantic and funny moments together and their banter. I truly feel connected with both Matilda and Jay.
Entertaining and engaging, Six of Heart has everything I wanted in a book – a fantastic plot, intensity, realness, solid characters and great writing. I highly recommend this one!
So why not live with the magic? Be a kid again and believe in the fantastical. Life is more fun with a little smoke and mirrors.
