Preppy finds himself back in a world he once loved, but no longer recognizes. His dim smile can’t hide his inner turmoil and the people he views as family all suddenly feel like polite strangers.

Except for one person. A girl with dark eyes and even darker hair.
A girl who isn’t even an option.

At least, not anymore.

Dre can’t decide who she’s going to listen to. Her heart, her head, or her body. Because two out of those three things have her heading right back to Logan’s Beach. Closure is what she tells herself she’s seeking, but when she unlocks doors that were never meant to be opened she soon discovers that when it comes to Samuel Clearwater, closure might NEVER be an option.

This is book six in the King Series and the second part of Preppy and Dre's story.

Maria’s Review

➦I just now realized that I’ve actually forgotten to review the first part of the Preppy series… Hmmm! Well, then, I guess no review for this one either! lol I am doing very brief one paragraph reviews for books these days because my life is cray cray at the moment. Do forgive.

➦I am not a big fan of dark romances or anti-heroes but I did thoroughly enjoy Preppy even if I didn’t completely fall in love with him. But one thing that I did fall in love with was the plot and the story’s interesting well developed raw characters. No unicorns or rainbows here, people.

➦If you are not ok with crime/murder/torture in your books then this is probably not for you. Even though those subjects are not graphically described there are mentions of them and some scenes might be considered somewhat unethical. But that’s just what makes this book even more intriguing, I suppose. Preppy is unethical and a bit of an enigma.

➦I will definitely be reading the third part of the series since this, again, has ended in a cliffy just like the first part. May be just not as big of a cliffhanger as the last one… I’m rambling. kk, bye
