Missing From Me (Sixth Street Bands #3) by Jayne Frost – Contemporary Romance – Can Standalone
It’s not as often as we’d like that we get to read a stunning rockstar romance and this one was just that! While it is by no means tame, (let’s face it, tame is not the word that comes to mind when thinking of a rockstar) it tells an epic second chance love story between a famous drummer and a woman who stole his heart and never let it go, not even after heartbreak and years of separation. You will have front row seats to the show that is this musician’s life – his screw ups, his efforts of making things right and, ultimately, finding peace and home in people he loves dearly. And amongst all of it is music and beautiful lyrics that will absorb you into this fascinated story.
Maverick (North Ridge #2) by Karina Halle – Contemporary Romance – Can Standalone
We were extremely excited to get our hands on this book after some time of
patiently waiting for its release. For those of you who love small town romances set in the middle of nowhere (ahem, some distant parts of Canada….), this one is for you. These two main characters will take you on a ride into the snowy mountains in some pretty extreme weather conditions, so dress warm! This novel would be best read in front of a fireplace, while being bundled in a cozy blanket. You might need to shed that blanket about half way through, because when these two rescuers who work together start going to remote places for over night missions, it will get HOT. Keep your socks on, rest is optional.
