➦Do you know wtf this shirt is talking about? If you do then you will probably relate more to the characters in this book than if you don’t.
➦With that said, you don’t actually have to, because the authors do a wonderful job introducing the world of online gaming. You will learn about the gatherings gamers go to and you might find it pretty interesting. In the midst of that, of course, there’s romance between two guys. So who are they?
➦Ian is just a guy hiding behind different personas. One of those is of an artist, Cerise, who has quite a following online. When Ian is Cerise he is moody, unapologetic and sexually forward. His second online persona is that of Cherry, who is a moderator for an online channel. Cherry is cheery, sweet and helpful and is perceived by everyone to be a girl.
➦Ian/Cherry moderates the channel together with Jesse, a guy who he has a bit of an online crush on. And by “a bit” I mean a kind of “let me draw portraits of you” type of crush. So what happens when these two meet at a con for gamers? Keeping in mind that Jesse still is under assumption that Cherry is a GIRL.
➦It was interesting to read about Ian and Jesse helping each other, in a way, to overcome certain fears. I didn’t talk about Jesse much but he’s a very interesting character not without struggles of his own. Ian’s portrayal is intriguing and it was a interesting to read about his “battle”, if you will, between being himself and hiding behind his other personas.
➦Really loved these two together. Loved the writing, as usual! Devoured this book in a matter of days. Recommended to those who love M/M and unique characters.
