A hopeless romantic.
A disheartened cynic.
An unforgettable kiss.

Caleb Anderson believes in fairy tales. At least, he wants to.
Despite battling cancer, defeating death, and an overprotective family; he believes in promises of forever, enchanted encounters, and love at first sight. He knows his perfect girl is out there …
If only he could find her.

Zadie Fisher doesn’t believe in love. At least, she doesn’t want to.
Despite undeniable attraction, second chances, and resurrected hope; she doesn’t believe in soulmates, true love, or happily ever after. Not anymore. She knows falling in love is a mistake …
If only she could avoid it.

But fate has a funny way of twisting things, and some mistakes are destined to be made.

Most fairy tales start with Once Upon A Time ...
This one starts with a kiss.

Maria’s Review

➦After meeting Caleb’s character in Complex Kisses, the first book of this series, I’ve become completely intrigued and enamored by him. He is such an endearing and complex soul, a complete gentleman and a hopeless romantic.

➦Nope, I’m like, not even kidding. And on top of all that Kim Bailey made him not only swoony, but downright sexy. It was actually a nice change of pace to read about a non-asshole/non-alpha hero. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll take a broody alpha in my romance any day, but this guy here – totally likable and you’ll fall for him fast.

➦So, anywhateverz… I’ve been waiting for his story for a while now, just itching to get my paws on it, but Kim… let’s just say she’s…

➦I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Quality over quantity, people. I liked the heroine too, she’s older than the hero and she has reservations about dating him. These two were great together and their relationship started out as friends slowly evolving into more.

➦If you are into friends to lovers tropes and sweet/swoony heroes, then please pick this book up and give it a chance! Kim is a very talented writer and I can’t wait to read more of her stories. They are all very different but entirely engrossing!

 About the Author

Kim Bailey is a Canadian author. She’s a born procrastinator and sarcasm junkie. She gets her motivation from coffee, the fact that her teenage children haven’t disowned her, and the smile on her husband’s face when she tells him “maybe”.

When she was young and naïve, Kim dreamed of being a documentary filmmaker, and script writer. But when real life happened, she went to a job that actually paid her. Now she’s a customer support specialist by day and romance writer by night.

Writing is something she’s always done – she has about 20 million half-started story ideas. She may also be a slight exaggerator.

Kim promised herself to set her fears aside and make the dream real. She’s working on that, one day at a time.
