“I had a past that kept me in shackles until I freed myself with excellence. It was my camouflage, my way of escape.”
I hadn’t read a really dark, suspenseful erotic story in a while, so when an opportunity arose for me to delve into Camouflage, I jumped at the chance. It was just the kind of story I was looking for at that particular time, and I really enjoyed it. It kept me fully engaged with all the plot twists and turns and boy… was it freaking HOT OR WHAT? I always enjoy Kate Stewart’s intriguing and well developed plot lines and characters. I can always count on her to produce thought provoking stories I enjoy.
Camouflage centres around Taylor, a successful business mogul, who has had quite a shaky and messed up past. Having said that, she is such a strong, awe-inspiring heroine who I not only fell in love with, but I admired due to her persona which embodied a no mercy attitude. She truly is one of the best heroines I have read to date.
Taylor frequents a sex club called The Rabbit Hole. She has been playing a little game of cat and mouse with a tall, dark and handsome stranger who also attends the same club. For quite some time, the two of them had noticed each other at the club, but nothing had eventuated; this, despite their very hot chemistry pulsing from them and their stolen heated glances. I was literally on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what was to come of them.
“I am the man who will disappear from your bed without any explanation.”
The tall, dark and handsome man, otherwise known as Daniello, is a mystery of epic proportions. To be honest, after finishing Camouflage I still don’t really know much about him. However, I didn’t really mind that as it has just added to my anticipation of the second book in the series.
“I know hardly anything about him except that I lose myself in him so easily…”
Taylor and Daniello’s interactions together were so hot, intense and steamy that it pretty much set my kindle on fire. There were so many twists and turns and so much happens, especially in the last part of the story. It was out of control. My head was spinning with everything going on and I mean that in the best possible way. It was intense and it kept me completely enthralled, I kept wanting to flick to the next page to find the next twist. I loved how full-on it was.
“He was arrogant to the point of infuriating, but in bed, he was an enigma.”
Camouflage is a definite must read for anyone who loves the erotic suspense genre. I was completely enthralled by both Taylor and Daniello, they captured my attention from their first encounter and I loved the thrilling ride they took me on. I would most definitely recommend this story to anyone who loves fast paced action packed stories with so many hot and steamy scenes to keep you fully engaged. I’m so glad I waited until now to read this, because I cannot wait to get my hand on the next book in the series.
